The National Police brings together 600 runners against cancer in Marbella Success of the first edition of the 'Ruta 091' solidarityidarity race in Marbella, organized by the National Police under the motto “Against Cancer”, with 600 registered, which was held this Friday afternoon on the seafront. Commissioner José Manuel Rando has also participated in the race, which was won by local athlete Cristian Benítez.

This race is framed, although well in advance, in the events scheduled by the National Police on the occasion of its festivity and was held for the first time in Marbella.

The objective, like the rest of Routes 091 that are held in other parts of Spain, is to strengthen and strengthen the relationship of this security body with the citizens.

In addition, a
solidarityidarity purpose is also pursued since in the case of Marbella the proceeds from the test go to the Spanish Association against Cancer.

There have been 600 registered, although fewer have taken the start, with great punctuality, at 8:30 p.m., from the promenade, at the height of the terraces of the Virgen del Carmen Marina.

A lot of local athletes, one of whom, Cristian Benítez, took the victory with great authority. The first woman was Christelle Vall.

The new commissioner, José Manuel Rando, also participated, while the previous one, Ignacio Lamelas, watched the race behind the fences.

A five-kilometer route has been made to the west, to pass through streets such as Camilo José Cela, Arturo Rubistein or Alfonso de Hohenlohe Boulevard and return along the seafront.

Lots of animation at the start and finish, with the presence of police vehicles and even a helicopter, which has been flying over the city center during the test.

Before, from 8:00 p.m., the races for children took place and it was also possible to enjoy different workshops such as the Scientific Police workshop or the aerial media workshop with the operation of drones.

Registration for adults cost 14 euros (12 for children) to which donations made in row zero must be added.

The money will go to the Marbella headquarters of the Spanish Association against Cancer, which has also offered information to all the people who have come to its display on the terraces of the Marina.
