The Costa del Sol disappears from the list of the 100 best hospitals in Spain
This year it has disappeared from the ranking of the 100 best hospital centers in Spain by the Health Reputation Monitor (MRS). In 2022 it had dropped to 67th place.The degradation of public health on the Costa del Sol since the PP has been in charge of the Board is evident and is increasingly reflected in more indicators.
Now the ninth edition of the Health Reputation Monitor (MRS) carried out by Merco (Business Monitor of Corporate Reputation) has been made public.
This is an independent and comprehensive evaluation that analyzes the reputation of all Spanish healthcare, both public and private hospitals.
The Costa del Sol Hospital in Marbella, of regional scope, disappears from the list that this year includes the hundred best with public management in the entire country.
The worsening of the service is reflected in this classification, in which last year it was in 67th place after falling from 61st in the previous year.
It is evident that the evolution in recent years is negative to the point that the hospital center, now also classified as university, is no longer in the ranking.
The best public hospital in Spain, according to this classification, is La Paz in Madrid, followed by the Clinic in Barcelona.
Among those in Andalusia, the one located highest is the Virgen del Rocío Hospital in Seville, which remains eighth.
In the province of Malaga, the Hospital Regional Universitario rises five positions to 20th, while the Universitario Virgen de la Victoria (Clinico) drops five positions and is now 26th.
The Health Reputation Monitor 2023 has carried out more than 8,260 surveys of doctors, nurses, patient associations, health journalists, hospital managers, nursing managers, members of the public health administration, hospital pharmacy managers and directors of pharmaceutical companies.
In addition, more than 3,254 objective indicators from 34 clinical services have been evaluated.
With these data, it prepares the classification, which represents a broad x-ray of Spanish public health.
