easyJet reopens its Malaga base and includes new routes for this summer The airline increases its seats by 7.6% and expands its offer with destinations such as Athens or Nice. In addition, the company announces that it will participate in the Torremolinos Pride 2024.

easyJet, Europe's leading airline, has reopened its base in Malaga for the fourth consecutive year. For the summer season, which runs from March to October, the airline has scheduled more than 1.9 million available seats, which represents an increase of 7.6% compared to the same period in 2023.

In this way, the airline continues with its strategy of sustained growth in Malaga, something that is also reflected in the expansion of its route network. Thus, easyJet expands its offer of destinations from the Andalusian city from 15 to 19, thanks to the incorporation of Athens, Nice, Nantes and Birmingham Intl. in its portfolio.

The first three will begin operations on June 1, 2 and 3, respectively, and the fourth did so on March 28, as the airline announced last November.

Added to this is the fact that the airline has exceeded 40 million passengers transported to/from the Costa del Sol, where it flew for the first time in 1999. 25 years later, the company continues to support Malaga and contribute to improving its connectivity, in addition to bring its appeal closer to the main European cities.
