A taxi driver arrested for stealing a toiletry bag with 2,000 euros from some passengers Agents of the National Police have arrested a 33-year-old man in Malaga, apparently a taxi driver who was waiting at the stop, as allegedly responsible for a crime of theft due to the carelessness of a toiletry bag, which contained 2,000 euros, from some travelers in the moment they were about to catch a taxi in the arrivals area of the Málaga-Costa-Costa del Sol airport.

The investigation that has led to this arrest began this past Sunday, after the agents learned that some passengers who had just arrived at the
airport facilities on a flight from Paris had been robbed of a toiletry bag containing money, some 2,000 euros, and personal documentation.

After several investigations, the agents managed to find out that the events had occurred in the passenger arrivals area when the travelers were preparing to take a taxi that would allow them to leave the airport, as reported by the National Police through a statement.

They also found that, before leaving the facilities, they had placed their luggage -including the toiletry bag- on a trolley. Thus, when they arrived at the taxi area, and while they were placing the suitcases inside the vehicle, an individual, who was later identified as a taxi driver who was waiting at the rank, took advantage of a moment of inattention by the travelers to seize the cart. luggage rack and move it from the place.

Immediately afterwards, the passengers, oblivious to the loss, left the airport. Subsequently, the individual returned to the scene with the cart, leaving the toiletry bag that was later recovered by the agents. Inside they found the documentation. After the arrest of the investigated, they recovered 500 euros.
